The QStat Safety Syringe works in the same way as a traditional syringe.
Automatic Safety
The retraction mechanism is fully automatic being initiated at the end of the injection phase. At the end of the retraction phase the needle is locked in the safe position. The syringe is thus disabled and cannot be reused. It is the only user-controlled automatic retraction syringe available today. The design virtually eliminates the possibility of blood spray, vein and tissue damage and bruising.
